On the Essen Motor Show Carlsson presented the CM55 K based on the SLK 55 AMG full of character and powerful and this dynamic roadster succeeded in the readers polls of Sport Auto, Auto Bild Test & Tuning and Auto Illustrierte.


With the first foretastes of springtime the CM55 K could seize the chance to show its potential on the road and on the test track - in the POWERCAR test.


"With outstanding driving performance and perfect workmanship in every detail, Carlsson tries to seduce the owners of a SLK 55 AMG."


The "high achieving version" of the open roadster has - thanks to the very quiet and effective working supercharger that Carlsson developed in cooperation with Ogura- more than 120 additional HP and 650 Nm of torque at only 2800 rpm (standard model 510 Nm/4000 rpm).


Like a true super sports car the engine pushes in 4.2 sec. to 100km/h and in 15.3 sec. up to 200km/h.


"But the figures describe the felt increase of speed only insufficient. The driver is pressed into the seat, the engine reacts biting on the gas pedal`s commands and the new 7-speed-automatic transmission offers a convenient transmission ration at any time - this drive unit has an outstanding performance."


"The SLK crouches on the road, the weight-optimised 19" wheels fit perfectly into the wheel arches - but nevertheless the set-up convinces with comfort as well as with a neutral rating that plays to sporty driving.
