Citroen C3 HDi 110 DPFS
Spearheading Citroen's increasingly appealing and dynamic supermini range





The appeal and the success of the C3 lie in its strong personality. In early 2006, depending on the country, the range gains a new model: Citroen C3 1.6i 16V mated to an automatic gearbox.

This launch follows the market debut of the C3 model fitted with the HDi 110 diesel engine and particulate filter. Combining strong performance with remarkable driving pleasure, Citroen C3 HDi 110 is at the top end of the supermini segment. Coinciding with the launch of the HDi 110 DPFS model, Citroen C3 gained styling upgrades, improved running gear and new comfort features and driving aids.

A range of seven engines

Overall, the C3 range is available with a choice of seven engines, four petrol and three diesel:
- petrol: the 1.1i 44 kW (61 bhp), the 1.4i 54 kW (75 bhp), the 1.4i 16V 65 kW (90 bhp), and the 1.6i 16V 80 kW (110 bhp);
- diesel: the HDi 70, the HDi 92 and now the HDi 110 DPFS.

The SensoDrive automated manual gearbox is available with the following engines: HDi 70 1.4i 75 bhp, 1.4i 16V 90 bhp, and 1.6i 16V 110 bhp. The automatic gearbox is available with the 1.6i 16V engine.

Citroen C3 range also includes two other models, designed to consume less fuel and to produce fewer CO2 emissions: the C3 Stop & Start, and Citroen C3 1.4i CNG.

Dynamic, surefooted roadholding

Citroen C3 HDi 110 DPFS gains new running gear to match its dynamic character while ensuring high levels of comfort and safety. At the same time, suspension comfort and driving pleasure have been upgraded for all versions of the Citroen C3.

Turning to passive safety, Citroen C3 has already received 4 stars in EuroNCAP tests. It has now gained structural reinforcements that stiffen the body and further increase passenger safety, especially in the event of side impact: a new central pillar, a new floor crossmember, reinforced side-members, additional reinforcing beams and reinforced door surrounds at the front.

Even more status and refinement

Citroen C3 keeps the elegant and original body styling that made it a success, while integrating a few changes that bring out its character, mainly at the front end. The bumper is more imposing - according to the version - and the vehicle sports a new radiator grille with bigger chevrons. At the rear, Citroen C3 gets new lights with a crystal central area, along with new chevrons. Its strong personality is reinforced by new 16" aluminium alloy wheels and 15" wheel embellishers.

Alongside its more distinctive exterior character, Citroen C3 also gains upgrades in interior styling. While maintaining its recognised strong points of space, light and volume, the passenger compartment has been extensively restyled. The new dashboard, new door panels and trim express quality and elegance.

Additional comfort and driving aid equipment

Citroen C3 gains new comfort features and driving aids with cruise control, a speed limiter, new elegantly designed SensoDrive gearbox controls with restyled ergonomics, a new car radio with steering wheel controls, and folding electric door mirrors with a high-frequency remote control unit on some versions.

These new features expand the rich array of equipment already available, such as a steering wheel adjustable for height and reach (standard), electronic parking assistance, and automatic operation of the windscreen wiper and headlamps.
