DBW4 PID Controller from MoTeC
The DBW4 is a four channel PID controller for the MoTeC M800 series ECUs. It can provide up to 4 additional PID controllers for Drive by Wire motors or generic PID output control.
The DBW4 is in effect a PID or Drive by Wire expander which can be used to drive multiple DBW throttles or other feedback control devices that require PID. PID Set points are received from the ECU over the CAN bus and are separate for each PID controller.
Functions that could be performed using the DBW4 for servo motor control include:- Variable inlet/exhaust length
- Brake cooling control via shutter
- Engine temperature control via radiator shutter
