HS5 from Heico Sportiv
Strong "Swede" based on Volvo T-5 AWD



Sensational look, all-wheel drive and supercharging; the HEICO HS5 with emphatic 5-cylinder turbo creates general attention. Finally Volvo has got a competitive, compact station wagon to offer again. With the V50, the "Nordsmen" attacking Audi A4 and Mercedes C-class. HEICO is tuning-up this stylish Swedish car. The HS5, tested by us, is based on the T-5 (AWD) version.



Body / Quality

Sport frontgrill and frontspoiler with carbon-lip make it already look sporty while standing. With the twin-branch exhaust system HEICO Tuning hits three targets in one: looks great, sounds good and gives power. The clearly designed Volution wheel in dimension 8x18 inch suits very well to the cars dynamic body design. HEICO loves to offer plenty ideas for the interior: doorpin-set, pedal-set and gear-handle are made of aluminum and decorated with the Viking-logo of the German tuner.



Driving pleasure / Drive

The starting weakness of the 5-cylinder turbo, thanks HEICO`s chiptuning, is minimized. From 2000/rpm on the all-wheel drive car pushes forward powerly. The peak-point of torque now is 360 Nm (serial: 320 Nm), the power increases to 250hp (series: 220 hp).



Driving performance

Without any complains: the tuned "Swede" is sprinting 6,9 sec to 100 km/h. The serial model takes 7,5 sec. Up to 200 km/h the HEICO HS5 takes off clearly: the clock shows 30,7 sec compare to serial 36,9 sec. The v-max increases to 240 km/h. All flexible performing data are better on the HS5.




Suspension / Comfort

Heavy vibrations at steering-wheel on speeding-up and brake operation are killing the pleasure for high speed driving. HEICO SPORTIV is offering a sport suspension soon.



Price / Costs

At about Euro 1,820.- it`s just an occasion! The power upgrade includes besides the chip-tuning also the HEICO exhaust system plus sports airfilter.
