Two new products from Hella for BMW 5 Series
Silver/red and black/red upgrade combination rear lamps from Hella extend the choice of rear-end options for the current BMW 5 Series




Lippstadt, July 2005. Hella has developed two new upgrade combination rear lamps in silver/red and black/red for the BMW 5 Series (E60). Alongside the brilliant silver version already available, these new products help to set further sophisticated high-tech trends for customized rear-end design on the BMW 5 Series.


Just as with the brilliant silver version, Hella is using Diadem bulbs as light sources for the silver/red combination rear lamps, too. These have with a special interference coating and radiate the light directly in the required signal colour, red or amber, making red or amber colour filters superfluous. The outer lens of the lamp is transparent with horizontal optic patterning. Together with the computer-calculated reflectors this ensures a top-quality appearance and optimum beam pattern.


This lamp's trademark is the transparent-red macro reflex reflector over the whole lower area.


When switched off, the lamp shimmers brilliant turquoise to bluish with a red touch. The striking design provides an array of individual design possibilities, either to blend in harmoniously with light-coloured vehicle paint or as a contrast to dark colours.


The black appearance of the darkened combination rear lamps is created by spraying the housing with black plastic. The areas of the lamp which are not relevant in terms of photometrics remain non-metallized in order to emphasise their dark appearance. The bulb holder of the standard lamp with conventional bulbs is used as a light source.


All three upgrade combination rear lamps stand out thanks to their precise fit and have the same high product quality as original parts.


The ECE type-approved design combination rear lamps in brilliant-silver, silver/red and black/red are available now from well-stocked automotive parts dealers. Installation can be carried out quickly and easily by a garage or experienced DIY car enthusiast. The general certification is included in the packaging.
