Hyundai Appoints Zenith as Media Planning and Buying Agency
Korean car maker Hyundai has appointed Zenith Optimedia as its new media planning and buying agency in the UK.
The appointment, effective from 1st January 2007, comes as a result of the globalisation of Hyundai's media buying account, stemming from the expanding role of Hyundai Motor Company internal advertising agency, Innocean Worldwide.
Hyundai is the world's sixth largest motor manufacturer with a UK market share bigger than key competitor European brands, including Alfa Romeo, Seat, Saab and Volvo.
Commenting on the appointment, Marketing Director, Jim Campbell, said: "We are looking forward to working with Zenith, as our brand and market position continues to strengthen in the UK and Europe as a whole.
"The appointment of Zenith is in no way a reflection of any dissatisfaction on Hyundai's part with the previous account holders PHD. We were always more than satisfied with PHD's performance during their tenure and, as much as we look forward to working with Zenith, we will miss working with the PHD team." |
