July 1990 - Lexus receives top honors from the JD Power and Associates Initial Quality Study SM (IQS) in its first-ever sales year with the "Most Trouble-Free / #1 Carline"

August 1991 - Lexus ranks as the Best Overall Carline in Sales Satisfaction in the JD Power and Associates New Car Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI). This follows earlier recognition as the No. 1 Carline in Customer Satisfaction in a tie in the JD Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction IndexSM, and the Best Overall Carline in Initial Quality in the JD Power and Associates New Car Initial Quality StudySM.

July 1992 - Lexus ranks "#1 Carline in Customer Satisfaction" in JD Power and Associates 1991 Customer Satisfaction Index

May 1993 - Lexus becomes "Best Overall Carline in Initial Quality" in JD Power and Associates' Initial Quality Study for the second year in a row.

July 1993 - Lexus ranks highest in JD Power and Associates' Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) SM for the third year in a row.

February 1994 - Lexus is ranked "Best Overall Model in Vehicle Performance at Three Years of Ownership" reflecting satisfaction of customers with three-year-old vehicles.

May 1994 - Lexus sweeps the JD Power and Associates 1994 New Car Initial Quality Study SM by having all four models place "Among the JD Power and Associates Top Ten Models in Initial Quality"

June 1994 - Lexus is honored with the "Best Overall Carline in Sales Satisfaction" award by JD Power and Associates 1994 New Car Sales Satisfaction Index SM for the third time. Lexus scored 157- 35 points above the industry average.

July 1994 - For the fourth consecutive year, JD Power and Associates' 1994 Customer Satisfaction Index SM CSI study ranks Lexus "#1 Carline in Customer Satisfaction.".

January 1995 - Arthur D. Little, the leading international management-consulting firm, recognizes Lexus as the automotive industry's 1995 "Best of the Best" in customer management.

March 1995 - In its first year of eligibility, Lexus all makes with the JD Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Index (VDI) score in the study's history ranking "Best Overall Model in Vehicle Dependability at Five Years of Ownership" in JD Power and Associates 1995 Vehicle Dependability Study SM

June 1996 - Toyota Motor Corporation's Tahara plant, which builds the Lexus LS 400 and GS 300 sedans, captures the JD Power and Associates "Gold Plant Quality Award" among Asian manufacturing facilities.
