May 2002 - Lexus ES300 is named "Best Pick" by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

February 2003 - Lexus ES300 wins the IntelliChoice "Best Overall Value" in the Near Luxury Car category.

February 2003 - Lexus ES300 wins the Automotive Market Environmental Superiority (AMES) Award in the Premium and Luxury Car categories. The AMES awards were created to help encourage customers to purchase AMES awarded vehicles to assist in the reduction of fuel consumption and emission of greenhouse gases.

May 2003 - Lexus ES300 is the "Highest Ranked Entry Luxury Car in Initial Quality" in the 2003 J.D Power and Associates Initial Quality StudySM (IQS). On the manufacturing side, J.D. Power and Associates awarded Lexus ES300's manufacturing facility, the Tsutsumi Plant in Japan, the Bronze Plant Quality Award in Asia.
