Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
All new-generation Lexus sedans offer the Pre-Collision System (PCS), which integrates the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control system. In place of laser beams, as used in the Dynamic Laser Cruise Control system, a millimeter-wave radar system is designed to detect vehicles traveling ahead.

Intelligent Climate Control
All Lexus models come equipped with automatic climate control. The system in the LS 460 features temperature- and sun-sensing intelligent swinging registers. If sunlight is concentrated on one side of the car, the registers will automatically deliver more cooling air to that side. Seatbelt buckle sensors indicate the presence of passengers, and the system directs air accordingly.

Lexus SC 430 hardtop convertible's climate control system adjusts airflow and temperature automatically, differentiating between top-up and top-down driving needs. For example, when driving in cooler weather with the top down, the system will direct warm air to the feet and lap areas. On warmer days, the system will circulate cool air to the same locations. Lexus LS 460 offers a rear air conditioning system that supplements the standard cabin air filter with an optical deodorizer. The unit uses a catalyst-coated filter and an ultraviolet light to help break down odor-causing elements.

Power Rear Door
Lexus LS 460 L luxury sedan, and Lexus RX 350 and RX 400h luxury utility vehicles feature a standard power rear liftgate that can be activated either from inside the vehicle or by the in-key remote. Remote operation can be programmed for one-click opening. In addition, pushing a button located on the bottom edge of the door can close the liftgate. Touch sensors on the door are designed to detect obstacles and can stop the door from opening or closing. As an added precaution, a warning sounds when the door is opening or closing to alert people standing nearby.



Entertainment, Lexus Navigation and Security

XM Satellite Radio
An XM Satellite Radio system, which provides CD-quality sound and a wide selection of music and news/talk stations coast to coast, is available in most 2007 Lexus models. XM Satellite Radio helps ensure that the owner's preferred stations remain available continuously, eliminating the need to search for new stations when driving long distances. About half of the available stations broadcast without commercials. The audio system display can show the current song and artist.

Lexus DVD Navigation System
Lexus offers a DVD based Lexus navigation system in all models for 2007 (standard in Lexus LX 470 and Lexus SC 430) except the LS sedans which feature HDD. In all DVD applications, a single DVD holds all of the map data for the contiguous United States and select areas in Canada. All Lexus navigation systems feature voice recognition.

Fifth-generation Lexus navigation system available in most models offers enhanced usability, particularly through the voice-recognition technology. Voice recognition allows the driver to input the destination by voice command, even while driving. The upgraded voice-recognition technology also allows the user to select the nearest point of interest (POI) as the destination.

The fifth-generation Lexus navigation system still incorporates features from previous systems that help make finding destinations easier. One such feature, "building footprint display" for several major cities, can provide a graphic representation of the buildings near the selected destination or along a route to help the driver identify surroundings. The system also shares the phone number-based business address location feature from other Lexus navigation systems.
