Marangoni Introduces Mythos Tire
Mythos is the new tyre series developed by Marangoni Tires for the fast growing European ultra high performance market. Exclusive leading-edge technology, based above all on the experience acquired in motor racing, in a road tyre with speed rating Y. As to performance, drivability, safety and comfort, the Mythos is Marangoni's jewel in the crown.
Currently 30% of the European replacement tyre market is made up of tyres approved for speeds of 240 km/h and higher. This percentage is expected to increase strongly over the next few years. For this specialist, high-tech market, Marangoni has introduced the new Mythos series.
This new product is the synthesis of the know-how and experience acquired by Marangoni over many years of research, races and tests in the most extreme conditions.
Marangoni Mythos offers excellent performance from all points of view: stability at high speed (speed rating up to Y, 300 km/h), grip in the wet, efficiency under braking, drivability and comfort. A tyre that has proven its worth right from the very first testing stages; one significant example is its great performance in one of the most important European endurance competitions, the Nurburgring 24 Hour race. The results achieved on the Nordschleife qualify the experience drivers can expect from Mythos on everyday roads.
Many new technological features have been introduced by Marangoni in its new top-of-the-range product:- Constant Void Ratio - special design of the empty/void ratio in the tread, which optimises the contact area between the tyre and the ground, improving grip and braking
- Adaptive Sidewall Stiffness Control - exclusive design of the sidewall that ensures the maximum level of drivability and comfort.
These new features are in addition to the already highly advanced PST technological platform, used by Marangoni for all its high-end tyres.
On the road, the Mythos is a tyre that ensures the high performance required by modern cars and ranks with the products offered by the leading competitors.
The following are its key characteristics: - high resistance to aquaplaning, due to the directional tread pattern and the four wide longitudinal grooves.
