Mazda Zoom-Zoom Captured on Film German wins MX-5 Roadster Coupe
Mazda Motor Europe announced the winner of its Zoom-Zoom photo competition today - 25 year-old Sebastian Niehoff, from Herne, Germany. His winning photo was chosen from over 7,000 photos submitted since the hunt for Zoom-Zoom began this past July.
The 30 best photos and the winner of the grand prize, a Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe, were selected by a jury consisting of professional photographers Dingo, Nina Minguez and Bo Hylen; along with Eddy Greenwood, a well-known creative director of TV spots. The runners-up will receive prizes including Bose home entertainment and audio systems. These photos and much more can be viewed and downloaded at a special website set up for the competition with the address zoomzoomphoto.com.
All entries tried to capture the essence of Mazda Zoom-Zoom - the spirit to do things differently, to challenge and overcome convention. Many of the images submitted were of cars, but the most popular ones reflected the idea of motion in some way. The winning picture impressed the jury, said Greenwood, "because it portrays Zoom-Zoom in the form of pure motion and at the same time brings a twinkle to the eye. This combination is the essence of Mazda's philosophy."
Philip Waring, Vice President for Sales at Mazda Motor Europe, will present the grand prize winner with the keys to his new Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe at this year's Paris Motor Show - on 28th September, 17:00 at the Mazda stand. |
