Overview
Mercury Milan has helped bring new energy and new customers to the Mercury showroom with its style and strong value. For 2007 Mercury Milan builds on its compelling value story by making anti-lock brakes and the safety and security package standard on all models. This package includes side-impact air bags for the driver and front passenger, side curtain air bags for first and second rows, and an anti-theft perimeter alarm system. Traction control is also now standard on V-6 models.
Later in the year, Milan will get several other updates. Most significant, Milan will offer enhanced driver confidence with an available all-wheel-drive system that improves handling and optimizes traction on slick surfaces.
Other changes include a standard auxiliary audio input jack for all models. Milan also will offer two new options shortly after the 2007 model year launches: a DVD-based navigation system and SIRIUS satellite radio.
2007 Mercury Milan appeals to new, younger customers while reflecting Mercury's identity: sophisticated design, stylish and functional interiors, and rewarding, city-tuned driving traits. The expressive exterior and high-end interior are aimed squarely at Generation X customers, 46 percent of which, Mercury research shows, shop outside mainstream brands to find clothes, furniture and home accessories to match their unique tastes.
Mercury's midsize sedan is available in Milan and Milan Premier. All Milan models are built in Hermosillo, Mexico.
Design and Equipment
The 2007 Milan injects spirit into the staid sedan scene by wrapping Mercury's new metropolitan identity - established by the 2002 Mountaineer - around a well-proportioned midsize sedan. Mercury's sedan draws design inspiration from large, modern cities that advance design, fine arts and architecture much like the vehicle's namesake, Milan, Italy, did in the 19th century.
2007 Milan's exterior features Mercury's signature cues - the dramatic waterfall grille, clean lines, distinct rear treatments, satin-aluminum finishes and exquisite attention to detail - that accentuate its long wheelbase and dynamic stance.
