| | | | This is an ideal solution, ready for conversion with one of the many possible outfits: refrigerated body, pick-up, mobile workshop, small mobile shop, camper, etc... This base is fitted with anchorages and specific points on the floor and the wheelarches on which the special bodywork can be mounted, making conversion work easier for coachbuilders. All these vehicles are fitted with a Coachbuilders Technical Box (BTC) which has a 'Plug and Play' logic, to make it easy to connect the electrical circuits on the base vehicle to the conversion.
On request, there is also a kit that extends the body width to 2.10 metres to optimise conversions, taking the dimensional features of the vehicle into account (particularly for refrigerated vans and campers).
Scudo Combi and Panorama: all the comfort of an MPV
The New Scudo range includes a wide choice of vehicles for passenger transport, for both professional and private use, glazed and semiglazed, with 5 to 9 seats and a short or long wheelbase.
The new model addresses a demanding, well-informed market segment and a very varied clientele, in terms of fields of activity and the use they make of their vehicle: from artisans to maintenance workers, travel agents, retailers, couriers and service companies. But also the self-employed and private individuals who wish to enjoy their free time, in a vehicle that has compact external dimensions, is agile in traffic, easy to handle in parking manoeuvres, as comfortable as a car, but as sturdy, economical and reliable as a commercial vehicle.
The New Scudo passenger transport range comes in three different outfits: Combi Standard, Panorama Family and Panorama Executive. The first outfit is ideal to carry work crews with their gear, thanks to the excellent finish and remarkable flexibility and modularity of the rear compartment. The Panorama Family, on the other hand, addresses large families looking for the comfort and styling typical of a people-mover, while the Panorama Executive is suitable for business transfers (hotel/airport shuttles). The latter two outfits are particularly elegantly furnished, and great care has gone into the acoustic and climatic comfort: for example, the special ceiling, which incorporates lighting for the second and third row of passengers, the air vents that circulate the air on the versions fitted with additional climate control at the rear, the possibility of personalising the climatic comfort for each row of seats, and finally, the 'amphitheatre' layout of the rear rows of seats, which improves visibility for passengers (the H points are higher than those of the seats in the cab).
Powerful, elastic, economical engines
Comfort on the road also means being able to count on sparkling engines with a smooth torque delivery. Since it was launched, the Scudo has always offered a comprehensive choice of engines which have been constantly updated. Today the New Scudo range is available with three Multijet engines that guarantee extremely enjoyable driving (and outstanding elasticity), superb performance and low running costs (consumption and maintenance), as well as reliability and respect for the environment.
The following engines are available, combined with sturdy, reliable 5 or 6-speed gearboxes: - 1.6 90 Multijet (5 speeds) - 2.0 120 Multijet (6 speeds) - 2.0 140 Multijet Power (6 speeds)
Achieving a perfect balance between power and consumption in all types of mission and load conditions, the New Scudo equipped with the 90 Multijet - maximum power output of 66 kW (90 bhp) at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 180 Nm at 1750 rpm - has a top speed of 145 km/h and fuel consumption of 7.2 l/100 km in the combined cycle.
