The Stylance models in the Alhambra range capitalise on the wealth of possibilities offered by digital technology to keep all the family entertained, at the same time underscoring the Alhambra's character as "an MPV for sporty families".
Passengers aboard the Alhambra Stylance are able to enjoy a film on DVD, link up a digital video camera, DVD, laptop or MP3 player, or even plug in a video games console. The equipment will enable middle-row passengers in the MPV in particular to enjoy the whole range of in-car entertainment. Two TFT colour screens incorporated into the back of the front-seat headrests give access to all the thrills of multimedia.
The DVD player in the centre console will be operable by remote control, and second-row passengers will also have dedicated headphone connections.
More power and performance from a broad range
Six engines are available for the SEAT Alhambra in all, comprising three petrol and three diesel power units.
The latest model is the 103 kW 2.0 TDI (available with DPF) with four cylinders fed by pump-line-nozzle injector units, which delivers its maximum output of 140 hp at 4,000 rpm and torque of 310 Nm at 1,900 rpm through a six-speed manual gearbox. The engine complies with the limits stipulated in the European Union's EU4 exhaust emissions standard and powers the Alhambra to a top speed of 192 km/h and from standstill to 100 km/h in just 12.2 seconds (compared with 188 km/h and 0 - 100 km/h in 12.8 seconds with the 130 hp TDI engine).
The Alhambra petrol engine range consists of the 115 hp (85kW) 2.0, 150 hp (110 kW) 1.8 20VT and the 204 hp (150 kW) 2.8 V6 models. In addition to the 140 hp 2.0 TDI, diesel power comes in the form of two further TDI engines with pump-line-nozzle injection developing 90 and 115 hp.
The 2.8 V6 and 115 hp 1.9 TDI models of the MPV are also available in the 4 (four-wheel-drive) versions. These two engines as well as the 150 hp 1.8 20VT can also be combined with the Tiptronic automatic and sequential 5-speed gearshift.
Generous standard specification
The Alhambra can be specified with three different trim levels: Reference, Stylance and Sport. The principal elements of each trim line are detailed below.
Reference*: Included as standard on even the entry-level model are ABS, TCS, ESP, driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags and curtain airbags for all three rows of seats, front fog lights, electrically adjustable, heated door mirrors painted to match the body, tinted windows, 4-spoke steering wheel, Isofix anchoring points for child seats, power windows with one-touch control, remote-controlled central locking, immobiliser, height-adjustable driver's seat, climate control, pollen filter, separate heating controls for rear passenger compartment and radio/CD unit with MP3 and 10 speakers.
