Cupra*: Same specification as FR, plus: exclusive 7Jx17" light-alloy wheels with 205/40 tyres, ESP electronic stability program, bright black electrically adjustable door mirrors, visible oval polished stainless steel twin tailpipes.

Plus, the Alana radio/CD unit with MP3 including a special connection for the iPod or a USB port will become available to order for all model versions this month, as will the radio/MP3 package with steering-wheel audio controls and the new Aux-in audio connection.



Commercial version

The broad Ibiza model range has been rounded off by the addition of a commercial version (only available on the Spanish market). This latest model succeeds in combining the versatility and comfort that the SEAT Ibiza is renowned for with an exceptional load capacity of 838 litres. The model's most prominent distinguishing elements are the partition behind the front seats, the flat load floor with upholstered lining and the metal panelling that replaces the side windows in the rear. Permissible gross vehicle weight is 1,570 kg and the towing capacity 1,000 kilos.

Despite being intended primarily for commercial purposes, the new model proves to be tremendously flexible whatever the task at hand thanks to the 70 hp 1.4 TDI engine under its bonnet. The impressive performance is complemented by frugal consumption figures of 6.0 l/100 km in the city, 4.2 litres on the extra-urban cycle and 4.8 litres on the combined cycle.

The commercial version of the Ibiza also comes with an impressive range of safety and comfort features as standard, most notably ABS incl. MSR, a dual braking system, three-point seatbelts with pre-tensioners and belt force limiters, immobiliser, height and reach-adjustable steering wheel, electro-hydraulic power steering and four speakers with radio pre-fittings.
