The standard specification for the Reference* models is therefore now as follows: ABS, TCS and ESP, driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags and curtain airbags, front passenger airbag deactivation, 16-inch steel wheels with low-profile tyres, twin-zone climate control, power windows front and rear, electrically adjustable door mirrors with parking position, remote-controlled central locking with folding key, radio with MP3-compatible CD player and Aux-in socket for external audio sources, eight speakers, and steering-wheel audio controls, tyre-pressure sensor and an emergency spare wheel.

The Stylance* trim adds more distinguished elements such as seven-spoke light-alloy wheels, leather steering wheel, trip computer, cruise control, volumetric alarm and "coming/leaving home" function. These items have now been supplemented by bi-xenon headlights with AFS cornering light function, rain sensor, an automatic headlight activation sensor, parking sensor and auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

The sportiest and most luxuriously equipped version in the Toledo line-up is the Sport-up* which adds the styling and sporty character to the equipment level of the Stylance, along with a firmer suspension (a sportier suspension is also included in conjunction with the 170 hp 2.0 engine to match its considerable power).

A long list of optional extras is available to complement the comprehensive standard specification, with highlights including: dark-tinted windows, standard-size spare wheel with two-tiered boot, dynamic navigation system, electric glass sunroof with anti-trap facility, heated seats, installation of Bluetooth phone system and metallic paintwork.

This list has now been extended by new options, such as automatic activation of the hazard warning lights whenever the Emergency Brake Assistance system (EBA) is called into action and a connection for the iPod or USB port between the two front seats.

Other highlights include new shades for the plastic panelling inside the car which enhance the perceived quality, as well as a chrome package for the air vents, gear knob and the gearshift surround.
