1.4 litre / 16 V - ET3: 65 kW (90 bhp)

This modern engine combined with a manual or electronically controlled (2-Tronic) 5-speed manual gearbox offers dynamic performance combined with low fuel consumption.

With an identical capacity of 1 360 cm3, the ET3 engine develops a maximum power of 65 kW at 5250 rpm. The maximum torque is 133 Nm at 3250 rpm, but from 2000 rpm, 90% of the maximum torque - i.e. 120 Nm - is available.

On this engine with double overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, there is a variable valve timing (VVC) system on the inlet camshaft. The timing variation occurs one degree at a time and improves overall engine effi ciency, increasing power and reducing fuel consumption. For example, the combined drive cycle registers just 6.4 litre/100 km, i.e. 152 g/km of CO2 with the manual gearbox, and even 6.2 litre/100 km (146 g/km of CO2) with the 2-Tronic gearbox.

The 2-Tronic electronically controlled manual gearbox removes the need for a clutch pedal and provides two gear change modes.

Automated mode requires no manual gear changes and provides fully automated driving, thereby optimising fuel consumption (a gain of 0.2 litre/100km in the combined drive cycle), nevertheless the driver can at any time "take over" temporarily and change gear manually without the need to select out of the automated mode.

Sequential mode provides all the enjoyment of manual gear changes by operating two control "paddles" under the steering wheel or the gear lever.

1.6 litre / 16 V - TU5JP4: 80 kW (110 bhp)

This engine combined with a manual 5-speed MA gearbox is the middle offering in the petrol range and gives the 207 a level of performance that emphasises its dynamic road holding ability.

With a capacity of 1587 cm3 (bore 78.5 mm, stroke 82 mm), the TU5JP4 develops a maximum power of 80 kW at 5750 rpm and a maximum torque of 147 Nm at 4000 rpm. Equipped with double overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, it provides 85 % of the maximum torque from an engine speed of only 2000 rpm, and 95 % of the maximum torque, or 140 Nm, from 3000 to 5000 rpm. Fuel consumption is limited to 7 litre/100km in the combined drive cycle, or 166 g/km of CO2.

HDi Diesel engines

These engines follow the downsizing policy of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group, of reducing the engine capacities and fuel consumption of vehicles while preserving their dynamic performance.

All engines benefit from second-generation Common Rail high-pressure direct injection system.

1.4 litre HDi - DV4 TD: 50 kW (70 bhp)

Effi cient and modern, the DV4TD combined with a reinforced MA 5-speed manual gearbox provides an ideal entry level specifi cation for the Diesel range, thanks mainly to its torque of 160 Nm available from an engine speed of only 2000 rpm.

This 4-cylinder single overhead camshaft engine has a capacity of 1398 cm3 (bore 73.7 mm, stroke 82 mm), it develops a maximum power of 50 kW at 4000 rpm and features a low-inertia turbocharger with a speed of rotation of up to 240,000 rpm.
