The manual air conditioning is accompanied by two additional panels under the fascia panel each with three "gentle diffusers" dispensing a uniform flow of draught-free air.

The "dual-zone" automatic air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to control their temperature and distribution settings separately. It is combined with a sun sensor and at the same time offers new possibilities for insulating the passenger compartment from the outside environment. For example, when the windscreen washers are activated, the air inlet closes automatically to prevent the odour from the windscreen washer additive being drawn into the car.

Along the same lines, the filter, already present on all Peugeot 207s, is combined with active charcoal to insulate the passenger compartment from certain hydrocarbon odours and certain exhaust gas particles.

An athermic front windscreen is combined with the air conditioning on many versions.



The scents of its fragrance diffuser ...

An original expression of comfort offered by Peugeot 207 is the fragrance diffuser, discreetly incorporated in the fascia panel, which scents the passenger compartments of most versions according to a patented process. An "open"unit containing two different scent cartridges selected from seven individual fragrances, one with "anti-tobacco" properties, is supplied with cars equipped with a fragrance diffuser. The different fragrances have been specially developed by a leading French perfume supplier.


Fragrance diffuser? A technical aside

In the fascia panel in front of the air vents, a cylindrical cartridge is located and connected to a dual-function control, located between the two units.

This control releases fragrance, with the selected intensity by means of the two central air vents, distributing the fragrance, with no loss of air quality or "air flow".

Because each cartridge is both very easy to put in place (by means of a very intuitive twist action) and is accompanied by an integral lid allowing it to be resealed after removal, it is very easy to change fragrance and keep units that have been already opened for later use.


Its acoustic ambience...

One of the main objectives of Peugeot 207 was to refine the level of noise and vibration using higher segment vehicles as a reference. Efforts therefore focused on many areas, taking advantage of their synergy to obtain a tangible and perceptible result.

The excellent structural rigidity of Peugeot 207 (0.80 mrd for 100 mdaN) allows noise and vibration to be controlled at their source. This favourable starting point was supplemented by important work on aerodynamics and all potential sources of noise.

These were tracked down, minimised or cleverly disguised to obtain a pleasant interior atmosphere enhancing the user-friendliness and... can also be personalised thanks to the in car entertainment or telematics systems developed for Peugeot 207.



Left essentially to the discretion of the user...

Communication in the 207 comprises several options - car radio or in-car telematics
system with support services -.

• A single CD car radio (RD4) with an output of 4 x 15 W is combined with six speakers in the single-tuner version on the entry level 207, or dual-tuner with MP3 player for other versions.
