New upholsteries are also available: "Bulles" upholstery for Authentique and Van versions, "Kale" upholstery for Expression versions and "Star" upholstery for Privilege versions, while the Initiale version's leather upholstery is now Beige.

The Alyum² Special Edition features a long list of equipment, as well as assertive exterior styling (15- or 16-inch alloy wheels according to engine, chrome door handles, extra-tinted rear side windows and rear screen, Style Pack, foglamps, etc.) and a distinctive interior (leather steering wheel, chrome centre console and airvent surrounds, specific "Team" upholstery).

A first at Renault: all versions equipped with automatic and robotized transmissions are now delivered as standard with steering wheel-mounted gearshift controls which fall easily to hand and permit the driver to change gear without taking his or her eyes off the road.

New Scenic features updated lines and all-new equipment levels, while its generous load carrying and stowage capacity and modular seat layout continues to place the emphasis on the model's acclaimed practicality. For tailored driving pleasure, New Renault Scenic comes with a comprehensive choice of powerplants and transmission options.

To ensure that it meets the needs of each individual customer, Renault has introduced an exclusive triple offering in the compact MPV segment comprising five-seat New Scenic, five-seat Grand Scenic and seven-seat Renault Grand Scenic.

New Scenic's updated lines include a new front bumper, redesigned headlamps, LED rear lights and new wheels and wheel trims. Five new body colours have also been introduced. All four equipment levels have been revised and new, modern materials have been selected for their durability, while the fit and finish quality of the interior has been further enhanced.

With its generous load carrying and stowage capacity and the modular layout of its seats, New Scenic continues to place the emphasis on its acclaimed practicality. In response to demand from family buyers looking for additional boot volume and extra stowage space, Renault has built on the different features that helped forge the success of Scenic and seven-seat Renault Grand Scenic to produce five-seat Renault Grand Scenic.

Thanks to the availability of technological features such as range-topping navigation systems, the Renault Hands-Free Card and front and rear parking assist, New Scenic delivers unrivalled comfort and ease-ofuse.

New Renault Scenic is available with two new optional accessories. Incorporated in the glovebox, the Audio Connection Box simplifies the connection of all types of personal audio systems thanks to the fitment of three different socket formats (Jack, USB and iPod). Once connected, mobile systems are easily controlled via the car's own steering wheel-mounted controls and audio display. The system is compatible with MP3, WMA, WAV and Ogg Vorbis files. The Bluetooth handsfree telephone kit permits cellphones to be linked up to the car's audio system and microphone. Calls are controlled by the steering wheel-mounted controls. Caller ID, phonenumber lists (on phone and SIM card) and call records are displayed on the car's audio system display. This fully integrated system enables conversations to be continued even when getting into and out of the car thanks to an automatic switchover between the car's loudspeakers and the mobile phone. These accessories are available for other models of the Renault range as a function of equipment level.

New Scenic and five- and seven-seat Renault Grand Scenic come with a comprehensive choice of powerplants, including four common rail technology diesel engines and four 16-valve petrol engines. The capacity of the diesel engines extends from 1.5 to 2 litres, with power ranging from 85 to 150hp (63 to 110kW), while the 1.9- and 2.0-litre versions are equipped with a periodic regeneration particulate filter.
