| | | | II. Renault's aftersales care: rapid repair services
Renault Minute and Renault Rapide Bodycare are both names under which Renault has been developing two essential areas of customer satisfaction: local services and rapid intervention.
Renault Minute, successful as a concept and international brand
Renault Minute, a chain of rapid repair and routine servicing outlets created 20 years ago, is a true lever of growth for Renault's spare parts business geared towards customer satisfaction. In 2005 Renault Minute recorded sales of Euro 354 million.
Renault Minute has always been able to meet the needs of the market and its customers very closely by continuously adapting. It is now present in 21 countries and by the end of 2006 it will have 1,145 sites. In September 2006 Algeria further strengthened its international dimension with the opening of the 1000th Renault Minute at Bejaia, 250 kilometres from Algiers. Renault Minute has 481 sites in France, 406 in Europe, 64 in the Americas, nine for Euromed, and six in Africa-Asia. The "Renault Minute" name comes in three other languages: Renault Minuto in Spanish-speaking countries, Renault Minuta in Slovenia and Renault Dakik in Turkey. The sheer scale of its international presence reflects the quality of its approach to the maintenanceservicing market.
Created in 1986 to keep customers satisfied and prompt loyalty among the owners of Renault vehicles, Renault Minute emphasizes reliability, speed, high quality customer care, easily accessible local coverage with or without appointments, and sales know-how. Inside and outside France its success can be ascribed to constant analysis of customer expectations in order to meet them more effectively and to the ISO 9001 certification that guarantees services and processes.
Customers have given this commitment an overwhelming vote of confidence - Renault Minute recorded two million visitors in 2005. Renault Minute today boasts 1,700 mechanics in 481 sites. Furthermore, geared towards customer satisfaction and quality service, Renault Minute trains its mechanics - 500 in 2005 alone.
The 600th Renault Rapide Bodycare opened in Turkey in 2006
In 2001 Renault launched Renault Rapide Bodycare in response to a market where a growing majority (70%) of collisions were light impacts in towns and cities. Renault Rapide Bodycare is dedicated to bodywork repairs that involve vehicles being off the road for between 24 and 48 hours at the most. Work usually concerns mirrors, locks, and restoring finish to damaged parts like bumpers, wings, bonnets and doors. Renault Rapide Bodycare proposes its services without or without appointments. Estimates and set rates, fast work, set price vehicle hire, paperwork (correspondence with insurance companies is taken care of), and valeting all help to ensure that customers know how much they pay and what they get in return. Like Renault Minute, Renault Rapide Bodycare is oriented towards customer satisfaction and service quality.
Repair staff are given specific training in high-speed bodywork, as well as in managing rapid repair centres.
The number of Renault Rapide Bodycare outlets has grown very fast - from 176 in 2002 to 600 in 2006 with the opening of the Turkish shop in the town of Reles in October 2006. Renault's network of rapid repair body shops now spans 19 countries and will number 625 body shops by the end of the year. Over 70 have been opened since the beginning of the year. RMC is present in four regions. In Europe (excluding France) its boasts 306 shops, six in the Euromed region, 11 in the Americas, while in France the 200th shop opened for business at Saint Chamond. Renault Rapide Bodycare is the English-language name for the original "Renault Minute Carrosserie" - the name comes in 12 languages apart from French. In 2005 sales reached Euro 130 million.
