New Renault Master is available in three lengths (L1 at 4.89m, L2 at 5.30m and L3 at 5.80m), three heights (H1 at 2.25m, H2 at 2.49m and H3 at 2.72m) and three vehicle categories (open goods transport, closed goods transport, and passenger transport), covering the full spectrum of customer needs.

New Master loading volumes range from 8m3 for the L1H1 to 13.9m3 for the L3H3. The rear load space is perfectly cubical, with vertical side walls, wide loading apertures (via rear or sliding side doors) and extra-low sill height (537mm to 545mm, according to version). Depending on the version, the rear doors (panel or glazed) fold out through 180 degrees or 270 degrees (back along the van sides). The loading area can be fitted with optional anchor rings for safe, steady stowage.

New Master is also available in a highly functional combi version, combining safety, comfort and practicality. These vehicles can also be configured for any combination of goods and passenger transport, making them an ideal solution for worksite applications involving transport of equipment and workers in the same vehicle.

New Master takes versatility a step further still with a practical, comfortable nine-seater minibus version, and an 11- to 16-seater bus version with smart interior finish offering pleasant and reassuring passenger transport conditions with features including individual seatbelts on all seats.

Body conversions

New Renault Trafic LCV and New Master - in bare chassis, chassis-cab (single and double) and platform cab versions - form a basis for a host of body conversions, addressing a varied range of applications including ambulances, refrigerated transport, camper vans, mobile workshops and disabled passenger transport.

Coachbuilder conversions account for 25% of Trafic and 40% of Renault Master sales. Renault implements a special technical approval process to validate design and manufacture of the required body conversion for the specified vehicle, thus ensuring optimum quality and reliability. The Renault technical approval label covers technical and commercial aspects (aftersales, warranty, etc.).

In addition, Renault accepts many in-plant special vehicle orders, for customizing a vehicle in company livery or installing trade-specific equipment to fleet owner specifications prior to coachbuilder conversion. Renault has dedicated organizations to handle special vehicle orders, accommodating the specific requirements of different trades. As well as processing special requests, these organizations may also be able to come up with a prompt direct response. Diversity arising from special vehicle orders can, for example, be managed through the Renault subsidiary Somac.

New range of diesel engines

To meet Euro 4 standards, New Trafic LCV and New Master have been fitted with a brand-new range of more powerful diesel engines and transmissions.

A comprehensive powertrain range

Renault Trafic LCV and Renault Master are getting a full range of new engines, offering enhanced response and driveability.

For New Trafic LCV, the introduction of Euro 4 standards brings two versions of the new 2.0 dCi (M9R) engine - 90hp (66kW) and 115hp (84kW) - phasing out the previous 1.9 dCi (F9Q) units. Both new engines come with a six-speed manual gearbox. In addition, the 115hp version will shortly be released with a new six-speed robotized transmission. At the same time, the 2.5 dCi engine gets a power upgrade from 135hp to 150hp (107kW) and a particulate filter. This unit is also available with a six-speed manual gearbox or robotized transmission. The 2.0 16V petrol version (120hp, or 86kW) also meets Euro 4 standards.
