Company adds new parts only limited warranty for select Genuine Subaru Performance Parts



Subaru of America, Inc., the only car company that features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard equipment on every vehicle in its product line, today announced the addition of new Subaru STI Performance Suspension Components to their Genuine Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT) Parts line-up and will now offer a new parts only limited warranty on select performance parts.


Among the new products are two kinds of STI brand struts and springs - one of which is adjustable. Subaru STI Adjustable Struts and Springs feature an inverted strut and spring design with variable height adjustment and 4-position strut damping adjustment for easy modifications to the system stiffness. The STI Non-adjustable Struts and Springs increase the overall system stiffness from 50 percent to 130 percent depending upon the model, and lower the body approximately 15 mm - 22 mm. Also added to the product line are Subaru STI Front and Rear Sway Bars, an STI Strut Tower Bar, and an Aluminum Arm Kit.

New Parts Only Limited Warranty

There is a new limited warranty on select performance parts that features part only coverage for one year from date of purchase regardless of mileage. It is effective immediately and applies retroactively to retail purchases going back one year.


Parts covered under this warranty include all Genuine Subaru Performance Parts that previously came with a Disclaimer of Warranties except STI Clutch Covers and Discs, Timing Belt, and Lightweight Flywheels. These items will continue to be offered with a Disclaimer of Warranties. All other Genuine Subaru Performance Parts will continue to be covered by the Limited Warranty for Genuine Subaru Replacement Parts and Accessories.
