Toyota Corolla 2007 Toyota Corolla Wins Customers With Dependability, Fuel Efficiency And Value
The fuel efficient Toyota Corolla enters its 37th year in America as one of the industry's most trusted cars. The roomy, comfortable 2007 Corolla is rated an EPA estimated 41 miles per gallon in highway driving.
Consistently ranked among the best in reliability and dependability, Corolla is the world's best-selling car, with more than 30 million sold over four decades. A key to Toyota Corolla's ongoing success in the U.S. market is that it has always appealed to a broad spectrum of buyers. The 2007 model continues that tradition, with three model grades offered: the very well equipped CE, the sporty S and the top-of-the-line LE. The XRS model has been discontinued for 2007.
Toyota Corolla has become the world's favorite compact car by exceeding customers' expectations for value and quality in this segment. Corolla is also an enjoyable, comfortable car to drive, with low ownership costs thanks to outstanding reliability and fuel efficiency, as well as excellent resale value. The Corolla name has always been synonymous with excellent fuel efficiency. 2007 Toyota Corolla line offers EPA-estimated fuel mileage ratings of 32 mpg city/41 mpg highway with the standard five-speed manual transmission or 30/38 mpg with the optional four-speed electronically controlled automatic.
Corolla also offers advanced safety for its segment, including the optional Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system available in LE and S models in conjunction with the optional automatic transmission. VSC helps maintain directional control during cornering by manipulating engine torque and individual wheel-braking influence when it detects tire slippage. The VSC option also includes Brake Assist, plus traction control that can help reduce tire slippage during acceleration.
Brake Assist is designed to determine if the driver is attempting emergency braking and, if the driver has not stepped firmly enough on the brake pedal to engage the anti-lock brake system (ABS), the system supplements the applied braking power until the driver releases pedal pressure.
All 2007 Toyota Corolla models equipped with ABS use a tire pressure monitoring system with a dashboard monitor light. On models with power door locks and the automatic transmission, the doors lock automatically when the shift handle is placed into "Drive."
Roomy and Comfortable, Yet Highly Nimble
High sitting positions make it easy to enter and exit the Corolla and provide excellent all-around visibility. The spacious trunk provides 13.6 cubic feet of carrying space, and a standard 60/40 split fold-down rear seat for all model grades greatly enhances Corolla's versatility.
The Corolla's substantial feel extends from its efficient packaging to the driving experience. Occupants enjoy a quiet and smooth ride. At the same time, the Corolla is highly nimble, due to a super-stiff body structure, refined suspension tuning and standard variable-assist power rack-and-pinion steering.
As an example of Toyota Corolla's suspension refinement, its shock absorbers use linear control valves that react differently to harsh or soft bumps. The CE, S and LE grades come standard with 15-inch steel wheels.
