| Tuning World Bodensee Creates Six-Figure Dream Limit 111,000 visitors in four days - exhibition organisation and the police must master a gigantic onslaught - new Miss Tuning elected
Friedrichshafen - The masses stream to the theme of car tuning: With 111,000 visitors in four fair days the TUNING WORLD BODENSEE achieved a new record number of visitors (93,000 visitors in 2005). "All expectations were equally exceeded several times", explained exhibition managing director Jürgen Schmid and project manager Dirk Kreidenweiss quite euphorically. "We had to master a gigantic onslaught on all four exhibition days with all available forces". With 46,500 visitors on Sunday alone, the fair registered an absolute day record.
After the analysis of the reservations through Ticket Online on the day after the exhibition ended, the management corrected the number of visitors from 105,500 upwards once again. Unexpectedly many Tuning-fans had used the convenient ticket purchase on the internet.
"All exhibition employees were at the limit of their loading capacity," praised the management the whole team including all assistants who were working nearly round-the-clock. There was praise however, also for the public: In spite of this gigantic onset - on Sunday alone, there were about 46,500 visitors - the organisation at the exhibition center itself as well as on the adjoining parking lots ran smoothly. There were no unpleasant incidents, even though the visitors themselves had to practice patience everywhere.
In its fourth edition the tuning meet hit the "6-figure dream limit" with hardly any effort. By Sunday, the third exhibition day, already more than 90,000 car fans and tuning friends had visited the exhibition and were inspired by about 1,000 tuned vehicle exhibits, from 256 international exhibitors and 150 club stands. "We are developing more and more to the set appointment of the international tuning business," stressed project manager Dirk Kreidenweiss. In Friedrichshafen the big enterprises introduced their world premières and were delighted about the big response from the highly qualified audience who came from many European countries and from all over Germany to Lake Constance to marvel at the most current trends and at the newest improved "object d'art" on four wheels. In the media, the organisation provided the headlines: All together 412 journalists from 14 countries were registered; ten television teams reported.
In the visitor's survey there were good marks for the exhibition event: Almost 90 percent of the visitors interviewed gave the mark "very good" to the event or they found the TUNING WORLD BODENSEE really "good". A similar high percentage certainly wants to visit the event again at the beginning of May, 2007. An equally interesting fact is that over half of the visitors questioned indicated that they owned a "tuned" vehicle. 75 percent of the questioned visitors are a large buying potential. They want to enhance, improve technically or improve the appearance of their future car on demand. Women are also on the advance in the tuning branch: After all, 25 percent of the visitors were female, inspired by the subject of car tuning.
Janina Kim Heider is Miss Tuning
Janina Kim Heider is the name of the new Miss Tuning, who was elected at the TUNING WORLD BODENSEE in Friedrichshafen. The young lady from Filderstadt is 20 years old, likes dancing and travelling and drives a tuned Opel Corsa. A total of 240 young ladies applied for the Miss Tuning. Janina Kim Heider will represent the tuning scene for one year and will be the cover girl for the TUNING WORLD BODENSEE 2007.
Visitor number 100,000
A happy visitor: Jurgen Sauter from Schwieberdingen near Stuttgart was the 100,000th visitor to the TUNING WORLD BODENSEE. Exhibition director Jurgen Schmid and project manager Dirk Kreidenweiss handed the eager 43 year-old tuning fan, who had come to Lake Constance for the first time, a bottle of champagne and gave him a voucher for a wellness weekend at Lake Constance.
